Sint Maarten: yesterday Duch 16-year-old-Laura Dekker arrived (aankomst=arrival) at St Maarten after having sailed the world solo but not non-stop. She has many admirers but had some problems with Dutch youth care because of doing this trip at such a young age and missing so many school hours. Because of that she sailed the last couple of weeks with the new-Zealand flag, thus indicating she wants to leave the Netherlands permanently.

Today The Hague daily newspaper printed a wide range of Dutch being interviewed during Sunday's The Hague Atrium "Feel at Home Fair for €xpats". Many of them promoted their services and companies to you, many smiling happy faces on various photo's and all agreed upon one thing: you really are in desperate need of their services, expat-TV, expat plastic "Hurray-welcome cards" etc. etc.
